Dear Fellow Toastmasters,

A HUGE THANK YOU for making the Division K THIS IS IT Convention a successJ

We had great fun in organising it and we have learnt so much in the processJ but it wouldn’t have been possible without your support, your positive energy and spirit to come and sing, dance, and be inspiredJ

Thanks to Mohd. Ariff we have found our Irresistible Voice! I hope you all are practicing your resonating belly voice..;) and Thank you all performers for dancing /singing your heart out on Saturday evening! It was indeed memorable especially being able to celebrate Earth Hour with fellow Toastmasters! Thanks Area K6 – our Brunei friends for making it even more memorable with the candles and ‘Heal The World’ song!

A HUGE Congratulations to our Division K Speech Champions who truly inspired us all on Sunday morning. Thank you to Norman, Rozana, Mui Len, Melissa, Jess, Shahar and Grace for leading the way in taking that extra step to improve your skills!

Nora Ridzwan – Fellowship Night Programme Coordinator

*Nora not only coordinated the performances but edited the sound, prepared the songs, designed the programme elements for the evening AND choreographed the Opening Committee Dance and the KKTMC ‘The Way You Make Me Feel’ Performance! She also tirelessly bought each item of the 6 hampers to wrap up as Performance giftsJ

Melissa Betsy Jilimin, CC – Secretary and Souvenir Coordinator

*Melissa was responsible for not only taking the minutes of our meetings but the cute Registration tags design and sourcing for our Souvenirs for GOH and Mohd. AriffJ Didn’t you love the THIS IS IT design on the Registration tags with your names neatly printed on it? She was also part of our KKTMC dance team AND contested in the International Speech Contest! *Phew! Talk about multi-tasking;)

Joanna Liew – another multi-tasker who was not only our Treasurer, she also danced in our KKTMC dance performance, and was Contest Chairperson for the Speech ContestJ Being in charge of the $$ with so many last minute changes PLUS technical glitches during the contest – Joanna handled it all in her stride and I’m sure has learnt loads from the experience only a Toastmasters Convention can giveJ

Lorena Binisol – Our new and enthusiastic member who managed to use her persuasion skills to get us our advertisements for the Souvenir Magazine and was first timer as contest SAAJ Truly appreciated her spirit of helpfulness and cheerfulness throughout! One of my memorable moments would be hearing her say ‘you know, I really enjoy doing this kind of stuff’ whilst shoving yet another sponsored booklet into the 60th Convention kitJ

Florence Majanil – Committee Member – an experienced hand at organising installation banquets and conventions, Florence was always prepared to help in any way she could – Thanks Florence for being MC of the workshop and for your assistance on Fellowship night with the judges’ ballotsJ

Veronica Lubinti – was also always willing to assist in any way she could especially with sending out bulk emails on my behalf and at the registration table J Thanks Veronica!

Mohd Zaini – another member who is always willing to help! He was Ariff’s personal chauffeur when Ariff arrived and said YES immediately upon being asked to be our official photographerJ Thanks Zaini for being so positive and helpful!

Dr. Sivakumar Kumaresan, CC – Contest Organising Chairman – amidst his busy work schedule! Thanks for getting the collar mikes for the speech contestants!

Mohd. Ariff Azahari, DTM – for his inspiring, humorous and entertaining workshop sessionJ So much to learn and so much more to learn! I look forward to inviting you back for a proper two hour workshop! Thank you for the quality and the standard you brought to how one should conduct an educational workshopJ

Dear all in Division K,

Congratulations! District is very proud on the birth of this new clubas it bring significant changes not only to the district but Division K as a whole.

Our gratitude goes to the sponsor, lead and person responsible for this - a member of SWEPA TMC And now the charter president of this new club - Toastmaster Rosie Moo.

Greetings from Div K Council Members.

The above mentioned subject is referred. Notice is hereby given that, Division K Second TLI Training for TERM 2009/2010 shall be held on 30th January 2010.

Kindly inform all your respective CLUB PRESIDENTs in your AREA about the VENUE, DATE, & TIME of our second TLI TRAINING FOR TERM 2009/2010. Your kind cooperation is very much appreciated, as CLUB PRESIDENTS & their EXCOS will need to purchase air tickets especially from BRUNEI , KOTA KINABALU, TAWAU, LAHAD DATU, and LABUAN .

THIS IS IT!!! The 14^th Annual Division K Convention will be coming to you 27^th – 28^th March 2010 right here in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah! Register NOW to enjoy the early bird package of only RM130.00 for a weekend of entertainment, fellowship and inspirational speeches!

The Kota Kinabalu Toastmasters Club will be hosting the annual convention this coming March 2010 and what a programme we have for you!

Dress code: Michael Jackson lookalike / Black & White

Come dressed in your best Black and White MJ persona and sing/dance your way into the hearts of your fellow Toastmasters on this one night MJ tribute cum Fellowship Night!

Entertainment Programme:

Area / Club MJ Contest:

Choose to sing or dance an MJ number either by Area or by Club and submit your chosen MJ song to the Organising Committee by 10^th March 2010. As we want a variety of MJ’s songs and would like to avoid a whole night of everyone singing ‘BEAT IT’, we will accept entries and bookings on a first come first serve basis! So email and book your chosen song NOW! J

Performances will be limited to up to a maximum of 10 performances. Solos / Group singing / dancing acceptable. Please state which club or Area you will be representing.

Workshop:

For our Educational workshop, we have none other than our LGET Mohd. Arif (yes, the one with the beautiful baritone voice!) to conduct at 2hr workshop on “Finding Your Voice”. Be sure not to miss this professional speaker and trainer sharing with us the valuable secrets of using your voice in communication and leadership!
